THE CARSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND


ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A $10,000 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY?  READ ON!

IF YOU ARE A SENIOR AT NORRISTOWN AREA HIGH SCHOOL, AND YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED AT A 4 YEAR COLLEGE WITH A MAJOR IN THE S.T.E.M. FIELD, WHY NOT APPLY FOR THIS $10,000 SCHOLARSHIP.   SEE DETAILS BELOW FOR ELIGIBILITY:

A scholarship program created by the Carson Scholarship Fund and administered by The Montgomery County Foundation, Inc. is limited to graduating high school seniors of the Norristown Area High School (in the S.T.E.M. program) who have been accepted to an accredited four year college in the S.T.E.M. field.  Only one scholarship per year is available.


SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Applicant must be a Norristown Area High School senior preparing to graduate in the S.T.E.M. program with course work in physical sciences. The grant applies only to those students who are seeking financial aid to complete their education at a four year accredited college/university and seeking a degree in the S.T.E.M. field and fully matriculated.  Graduate students are not eligible.
  • All applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible.
  • All Scholarship recipients must be United States citizens.
  • The Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and academic performance.  One Scholarship per year is available with the possibility of renewal based on need and grade point average and availability of funding of up to four years.
  • Renewal scholarships may be possible.  The student will need to maintain a 3.0 minimum average for renewed scholarships each year.  Recipients may receive renewals if approved for up to a maximum of four progressive years until graduation.
  • Renewal scholarships only available to a student who received the previous year scholarship.
  • Scholarships provided based on availability of funds.
  • Application does not guarantee funding.

THE NAHS STAR SCHOLARSHIP

A scholarship program created by the Roebuck Family Fund and administered by The Montgomery County Foundation.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Applicant must be a Norristown Area High School graduate or a senior preparing to graduate. The grant applies only to those students who are seeking financial aid to complete their education at a two or four year accredited college/university and are fully matriculated.  Graduate students are not eligible. 
  • All applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible.
  • No student can apply for or receive more than one Star Scholarship per year. 
  • All Star Scholarship recipients must be a United States citizen.
  • Awards of Star Scholarships will be made without taking into consideration race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender preference, disability or perception of disability. 
  • The Star Scholarship is awarded based on financial need and academic performance.
  • Application does not guarantee funding.

ON WOMEN AND FAMILIES SCHOLARSHIP FUND


PLEASE CHECK BACK IN MARCH 2018 FOR APPLICATION AVAILABILITY AND DEADLINES

The Montgomery County Foundation, Inc. is the Philanthropic Advisor for The Montgomery County Commission on Women and Families and manages its Scholarship Fund.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Applicant must be a female, Montgomery County high school graduate or a senior preparing to graduate or GED recipient – or a female adult learner (over 22 years) returning to school. The grant applies only to those students who are seeking financial aid to complete their education at a two or four year accredited college/university and are fully matriculated. Graduate students are not eligible. YOU MAY NOT APPLY FOR THE 2018 SCHOLARSHIP IF YOU ARE TAKING A GAP YEAR 2018-2019.
  • Applicant must be a resident of Montgomery County for at least one full year.
  • All applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible.
  • All MCCWF Scholarship recipients must be a United States citizen.
  • Awards of MCCWF Scholarships will be made without taking into consideration race, ethnicity, religion, disability or perception of disability.
  • The MCCWF Scholarship is awarded based on financial need and academic performance.
